Maiden Games released a new game called Kunoichi “Sword of the Assassin” and the version is 1.3a. The game’s story is about Players take the role of Takashi, a Kunoichi tasked with avenging her father’s death at the hands of the Yokai Clan. It features role-playing, strategy, action and stealth set in feudal Japan. Kunoichi pays homage in many ways to genres of entertainment in gaming and film most notably DOS platform game Sword of the Samurai from Microprose (my favorite game growing up), Ninja Scroll (my favorite anime growing up), Kill Bill (my favorite film), ady Snow Blood (film that heavily inspired Kill Bill) and more.

We are happy to announce that Kunoichi “Sword of the Assassin” v1.3a will be made available to download and play NEXT FRIDAY MAY 5TH!!! MAIDEN+ ULTRA members will have access to the build the Wednesday before. We are very happy with how the build turned out and it represents a great step forward in the refinement and polishing of Kunoichi’s gameplay. JIGGLE PHYSICS ARE HERE! We’ve completely remodeled the body with bones and sliders for the breast and butt along with a fully modeled vagina. Tons of new additions like Keybinding, Volume Sliders, Weapon Durability and Repair, revamped combat movement and much more! Check out the YouTube video below which highlights some of the major changes. There are far too many updates to list here so please be sure to check out the detailed list of patch notes in the #build-patch-notes channel for more details.

1 – Fixed a bug that caused quest giver and vendor icons to show when hiding UI and using Photo Mode.
2 – Fixed a bug that caused the camera focus to be off when talking with quest NPCs.
3 – Weapon durability has been added. The damage dealt by weapons are now affected by the durability percentage of the weapon.
4 – Yuki-Onna stage has been completely revamped.
5 – All consumable items have been replaced with items that are more in-line with the setting. I.E. Rice Balls, Dried Fish, Miso Soup etc…
6 – Starting to implement a new armor/weapon enhancement system…
7 – Re-vamped movement when in combat. Now the players character will face the enemy with strafing movement while in combat. This is more inline with modern third person ARPG controls. This change also makes it much easier to perform dodge rolls.
8 – Bandit Camps and Cave entrances have been added to the Village map.
9 – Returned the ability to call your horse. Now the horse can be used in the village without having to travel on the path.
10 – Made some improvements to the horse riding pose and animations.
11 – Added the ability to repair weapons and gear via Black Smith vendor which is located in the Takeda Market map.
12 – Player character body has been remodeled to improve the breasts, add a fully modeled vagina, anus and improved butt. Bones for breast, butt and vagina have also been added.
13 – 9 New sliders added for breast customization.
14 – 3 New sliders added for butt customization.
15 – Breast and Butt Jiggle Physics have been IMPLEMENTED [WIP]!!!
16 – Increased the speed of drawing the Katana weapon.
17 – Fixed a bug that caused the quest markers to show up on maps where the NPC did not exist.
18 – Keybinding has been added.
19 – Master Volume, BGM Volume, SFX Volume, Menu Volume and Voice Volume slider system has been added.
20 – All outfit pieces have been updated to account for the revamped body and new sliders.

THIS IS AN EARLY ACCESS GAME!!!
Please keep in mind that Kunoichi “Sword of the Assassin” is an EARLY ACCESS game. And beyond that this is the first ever build of Kunoichi. As with any Early Access software it will have incomplete features and A LOT of bugs. But rest assured that we will do all that is in our power to improve the game with your feedback. Our goal is to allow players to provide their feedback and their suggestions to participate in the development of the game as well as test out some of the core systems in place. Please be sure to view the KNOWN BUGS section of the game for an update on known issues and check out our Patreon post detailing our current progress and interest in the direction of the game.

STORY MODE STATE!!!
We have currently implemented an initial set of quests to demonstrate the different types of quests currently available in game. Rest assured that more quest types will be added and once this system is fleshed out and other larger systems have been implemented (most notably the relationship system which is essential to the story) we will begin fleshing out the games storyline. To be clear the bulk of the story has NOT YET BEEN IMPLEMENTED!
