Guma Games released a new game called Side Effect and the version is Ch.1 P2 v0.1. The game’s story is about Side Effect is a visual novel-style game, developed in Twine, which aims to deliver a story rich in detail and with several options for paths to follow. At first, the focus of the project will be on introducing the main characters and building the basic relationships between them and their possible conflicts. In this story you will play a complex man, a writer and former literature teacher who now co-owns and administers the prestigious Riverton High School. In Riverton, a vibrant yet quaint city, you, at 44 years old, are emerging from the shadows of a debilitating eight-year depression.

Thanks to a groundbreaking experimental medication, you find yourself reinvigorated, ready to reclaim the life that once slipped through your fingers. From a shadow of your former self, you are now filled with a newfound zest for life—and an unexpected side effect: an insatiable desire that seems to have awakened after years of dormancy.The project has only just begun. I’m not a programmer, English isn’t my first language and I’m not a visual artist. Therefore, the structure of the game will be very simple right now and I will dedicate my time to making the game mechanics more interesting as the project progresses.
