SageWorks Games released a new game called Story Of Star and the version is 0.1a. The game’s story is about You’re in debt, you’re overweight, your landlord is on your ass and you have a job you hate. The only thing between you and financial ruin is your hustle, relationships and yourself. Take on odd jobs, navigate a world that doesn’t care if you make it or not, and carve out a future on your own terms.​

Developer Notes:

• It’s been a long time coming. This has been a journey—lots of systems building, lots of bug-fixing, and a whole lot of learning along the way. But now, you can finally play it.
• A Few Things to Keep in Mind:
• This is a demo, so some content is still in progress. There are things I’m still working on, and a few areas have been cut for now.
  Bugs might pop up. I’ve done my best to smooth things out, but if you run into issues, just let me know and will keep improving things.
  I plan to expand this further. If people enjoy it and want more, I’d love to keep working on it.

What Makes This Game Different?

Dynamic Dialogue System: Unlike most Twine games, conversations here aren’t just static walls of text. Choices update in real time, meaning fewer reloads and more fluid interactions.
Random Events & Encounters: Certain storylines will only reveal themselves at the right time and place. For example, there’s a hidden event at the Mall—if you find it, let me know!
Customizable Main Character: Over 100+ unique character looks, including different outfits, hairstyles, and body types. This system is still growing, and I expect the number to hit 1000+ as the game expands.
Outfits Matter: What you wear affects what you can do. The end goal is to tie this into events, jobs, and interactions in a meaningful way.
