This major update migrates the project to Unity 6, introducing a brand-new Job System, a comprehensive Talent/Perk tree, and a massive expansion to the world with the new Royal Mall. We have also overhauled the game launcher and started laying the groundwork for complex character interactions.
Here are the highlights:
Launcher & Tools
- New Game Launcher: The launcher has been completely rewritten in .NET. This ensures higher compatibility with modern Windows versions and significantly improved security.
- Dialogue Creator: We have built a custom Dialogue Creation Tool. This internal tool streamlines the writing process, allowing us to rapidly create and implement all in-game conversations.
New Feature: Job System
- Work for Cash: We have implemented a fully functional Job System. Players can now take on “Quick Work” shifts to earn currency and manage energy costs.
- New Jobs: Added assets and logic for “Burger Flipping” and the “Shark Shack” job.
- Job UI: Dedicated UI for jobs (UI_OverworldJob) that includes timers, audio cues, and reward notifications.
New Feature: Talents & Perks
- Talent System: Introduced a comprehensive Perk & Talent System. This includes a new backend framework for managing player progression.
- Perk UI: Added a visual Perk Tree (UI_PerkNode) where players can view and unlock abilities. Nodes now react to hover events with scaling animations and sound effects.
Animation & Systems
- IK Systems: Development has started on Inverse Kinematics (IK) systems specifically for NSFW minigames. This will allow for dynamic character positioning and interaction.
- Vegetation Physics: Updated material properties for bushes, flowers, grass, and trees. Vegetation now reacts more dynamically to wind, with improved bend strength and wave scaling.
World & Shopping Expansion
- New Location – Royal Mall: The “Fashion” scene has been renovated and renamed to the Royal Mall. This includes the new Fashion Store scene.
- New Inventory Items:Added a massive wave of items to the shops:
- Clothing: Athletic Runners, Disposable Socks, Hand Wraps, Under Armor Gloves.
- Luxury & Utility: Bikes, Cars, Luxury Cars, Comfort Grips, and Extended Mags.
- Consumables: 5-Hour Energy.
Technical & Quality of Life
- Unity 6 Upgrade: The project has been updated to Unity 6.3, bringing the latest engine performance and rendering improvements.
- Resolution Standard: Updated the Overworld UI Canvas to a standard 1920×1080 reference resolution for better consistency across screens.
- UI Blur: Added dynamic background blurring. The screen will now smoothly blur when opening the Smartphone or Pause Menu to improve readability.
