Version 20260714v3
Story
- – Kari’s quest has been added. She appears at the Mall on weekends after the Sleepover event.
- – Kari’s quest involves talking to spawned NPCs and getting their contact details to prove you’re not a hermit. 27 unique conversations.
- – Kari’s quest NPCs spawn regardless whether her quest has been activated. However, you won’t have anything to talk about with them until the quest starts.
- – NPCs won’t spawn outdoors if it’s raining.
- – Miyu now has freeform conversations.
- – Added 2 more lessons: Anima/Animus, Unus Mundus
- – Over 1300 dialog lines
Gameplay
- – The Harbinger encounter now has a surprise synergy with Venus
- – Cat Slime spawns in the first dream area you visit that night. It will carry one item between dreams.
- – Acquired by completing Nanami’s quest (bring her one of each plushie type)
- – Kari’s quest NPCs spawn everywhere except the school. Each area has 6-7 unique encounters.
- – There’s no limit to how many NPCs you can talk to, but the stat requirements pile up.
- – Once interacted with, the NPC won’t respawn for 5 days.
- – Some NPCs have different spawn points.
- – The game actually records the appearance, name and some extra information of each NPC you get. Pointless now but will be used later.
- – Kari gives a fragile key every 10 people. Keys can be used to simplify a few puzzles, or for 10 orbs at the Dream Home (temporary reward).
- – At 100 people the quest is considered complete and you receive the Lovely Key.
- – If you’ve got the Sleepover event cage, it now stays on in the real world and prevents using the bed properly. The Lovely Key unlocks it. The initial quest conversation is slightly different too.
- – Otherwise the key is for Rin’s list. Consider it a placeholder requirement for an ending.
- – Miki now tracks Miyu’s location.
- – Miyu now tracks the location of cats for Yuri’s quest. (Option unlocked by seeing all her dialogue)
Notable Changes
- – Fridge and Storage now have mouse support. (You can the use the mouse wheel to cycle quantity)
- – You can’t throw away plushies now. This is to prevent softlocking Nanami’s quest, as they don’t return to the pool when discarded this way. Put them in storage or just dump them on the floor at home. You can still find creative ways to discard them, but it’s on you at that point.
- – To make it easier to get all plushies, returned ones go to the bottom of the pool. The pool is only shuffled after the quest is complete.
- – Added Yuri to the class. She was originally meant to be in a different classroom, but it’s more fun to include her in the lectures.
- – Blocked the northern stairway during day 2.
- – Blocked the northern stairway during day 1 as well. To protect you from yourselves.
- – Crash when First Haircut and Morning Sickness events overlap.
- – The meatwall nightmare on the Lab to Woods route required the configured suit on, instead of the opposite. It costs 90 mind, if you want avoid the nightmare without the suit.
- – Fixed a softlock in Yuri’s dialogue if you didn’t have enough Will.
The game is in an incomplete state and some mechanics or story segments might not yet make sense. The purpose of these releases is to showcase content and test mechanics. Any aspect is subject to change as development progresses.
A reminder and warning:
- The game auto-saves every time a location changes. The saves rotate through 6 files. You can make manual saves at the computer desk in your room.
- The puzzles are obtuse and cryptic. The mechanics are vague by design. While there are some standards and patterns you may start to recognize, do not presume that if an object doesn’t bring up a familiar gui, it’s not interactable. Experiment.
- If you’ve found a solutions to a puzzle, that does not mean it’s the only solution, or that it’s even a good solution. There are red herrings.
- The Dream World physically resets every day, but the knowledge the player character has attained remains. Some puzzles are designed to be solved after multiple attempts even if you know what you’re doing.
- There are no rewards to solving complicated puzzles other than lore and more puzzles. Most of the current story can be accessed with minimum interaction with the dreamworld.
- You can review what can be done to advance the story at the computer desk in your room. The story segments are nonlinear. Some choices have major affects on the plot.
- This game is a work-in-progress. Neither the narrative, nor the gameplay are in a complete state.
