Frame Fatale [Demo] By Pelumbra Games

Frame Fatale is a picross/minesweeper hybrid. Every number tells you how many of the 9 tiles around it should be filled. Pure deduction, no guessing. Solve a region and that part of the painting underneath fades in, until the full scene is uncovered. Most scenes then play as a short looping animation. Four special tiles keep the later grids honest: Bomb tiles reset their neighbours if you get them wrong, Seed tiles reveal a couple of neighbours when you get them right, Fragile tiles lock up if you keep flipping them, and Frozen tiles stay locked until everything around them is solved.

No timer and no game over. Hints, undo and a “clear mistakes” button mean you never get stuck. Solo dev here. Full disclosure: the artwork and animations are AI-generated; the puzzles, mechanics and code are hand-made. The demo contains 1 of the 17 paintings. Your demo progress carries over to the full game. The full game releases on Steam by the end of 2026 – wishlisting helps a lot if you enjoy the demo. Bug reports and feedback on puzzle difficulty are very welcome, I read everything in this thread.
