v0.7.3.f4
Revisiting Week 10 Endings
As the title of the patch suggests, I’m going back to the week 10 endings, which are mainly there to show the results of the job wheel spin out in the real world. As you can see, there will be new clothing unlocks in the form of job uniforms, and I would like to revise some other aspects, including new scenes depending on the relationships with your fellow contestants.
2. Katelyn Dates
Last patch was the addition of the Katelyn dates, so this time I’m finally adding the first Katelyn Ally events. Katelyn’s story arch will be a bit shorter because you get to become her ally so much later but it will be equally deep as Abigail’s. It will be about her past as a proud lesbian and how her family made her conceal that, and how the show is messing with that. I have a lot of interesting concepts that I’m exploring. I’m also considering exploring this topic outside of the Ally branch in a darker manner. That may have to wait for the next patch though.
3. Scientist Expressions
Another patch means another character needs a full expressive makeover. This time, that’s the scientist, and he also got a complete visual remake, which probably makes sense if you’ve played all the way to the true ending. This rework of all his dialogues will also include the consistent usage of his alter-ego graphics after the true end has been reached.
4. Damien’s room
There has been an issue with the room artist over the last months. He said that there has been a tragic incident in his family that is leaving the family business in jeopardy so I understand the problem. Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten any new graphics in a while but right now Damien’s room seems to be almost finished. I hope that it’ll be done soon and don’t feel like I can put more pressure on him right now, but I’m definitely planning this room into this patch.
5. Continue Abigail’s Dates story
While Abigail’s Dates are finished, you may have noticed that the final date specifically opens a can of worms, which means that a lot of content after that event needs to get alternative versions. So the main goal here is for the story to become consistent after the date content. There are also a few more scenes I had planned for between the date content, but they didn’t make it into the previous patch.
There are a few more little bits and pieces that I’m planning to change in this patch, but these are the main themes coming in this next patch. I hope you like the list. If you want to know more about what’s on the horizon, please check out the roadmap in the game’s main menu.
There’s one more thing that I want to mention, and that’s that in the v0.7.2 patches, I added a new event. As you may know, June is Pride Month, and during these months, you can now unlock the most complicated collection of clothes I’ve ever added to the game. Technically complicated, I mean, not that you would notice how much work it was to make them all. To provide a brief explanation, I am personally coloring all the clothes in the game. The artist always sends me white layers, and for these dresses and skirts, that was a particularly messy workload. However, I think they turned out amazing, and I hope you look forward to using them in the game and showing off your colors. The in-game event is not as intricate as other events; it’s more like the Valentine’s Day event, where if you enter the vending machine room during the event, AI:Ison will just unlock the clothes for you.
