NTRay released a new game called Oedo Cuckoldry: Chronicles of the Lustful Rod and the version is 1.0. The game’s story is about In the bustling tenement rowhouses of late-Edo Japan during the Bunsei era, Shinji, an honest and hardworking young carpenter, falls in love with Saya, a gentle town hairdresser, after a chance meeting on a temple festival day.
Before long, the two celebrate a modest wedding and begin their life together. Yet behind their warm, devoted marriage lies a painful secret: haunted by a lingering psychological trauma from his youth, Shinji is unable to consummate their union, leaving Saya an untouched bride despite their wish for an heir.
Their quiet happiness shatters one night when a sudden fire reduces a timber storehouse at Shinji’s worksite to ashes. Accused of negligence and framed for the loss of priceless wood, Shinji is saddled with an impossible fifty-ryo debt—and faces immediate ruin at the hands of the magistrate’s office.
Just when all hope seems lost, Hondo Sukebei, the wealthy and cunning master of the prominent Hojiriya pawnshop, offers to pay off the fifty ryo in full. His terms seem generous on the surface: Shinji and Saya must move into his sprawling estate and work off the debt as live-in servants for three years.
Once inside the mansion gates, however, the couple is separated by their duties. While Shinji is kept busy scrubbing the vast grounds under the watchful eye of Sukebei’s henchman, Saya is assigned to wait on the old merchant personally behind closed sliding doors.
Trapped under the roof of a patient, lecherous creditor with eyes only for Saya, how far will a devoted wife go to protect her husband’s future—and what dark, conflicted desires will awaken within Shinji as he watches from the shadows?
