The gameplay mechanics consist of a branching narrative with multiple choices, leading to different outcomes and endings. Players will explore various scenarios, engage in dialogue, and make decisions shaping Claude and Cosette’s relationship.

Investigation Phase:
- During the investigation phase, players explore crime scenes, gather evidence, interview witnesses, and make critical decisions shaping the trial’s outcome. Players must carefully analyze clues, piece together the facts, and identify potential suspects while managing time constraints and maintaining a keen eye for crucial details. The choices made during this phase will significantly impact the trial’s success and influence the relationship with Cosette, whose moral compass may challenge Claude’s perspective.
Courtroom Trials:
- As the trial commences, players will enter the intense courtroom setting, where they must present their case, cross-examine witnesses, and argue before a jury and the judge. Players will use their acquired evidence and investigative findings to build compelling arguments, strategically present evidence, and challenge witnesses’ testimonies. The courtroom trials progressively intensify with each chapter, requiring players to think on their feet and adapt to unexpected twists and challenges.
Progression and Difficulty:
- Investigations and courtroom trials will increase complexity as players advance through each chapter. Each successful completion of an investigation and trial rewards players with new insights, story developments, and opportunities to strengthen their bond with Cosette.
