The regional lords are monitored by an organization directly serving Hiiragi no Kotama known as the Imperial Guard. Its members act on the deity’s behalf, correcting wrongdoing and preserving stability throughout the country. However, that peace begins to quietly crumble with the arrival of a foreign religion. Calling itself the Light of Salvation, the religion spreads through the remote regions of Kamui before anyone fully realizes what is happening.
