Dirk, the hero who saved the world, was granted the title of crown prince for defeating the Demon Lord. He was accompanied on his journey by Marianne, a priestess from the countryside. However, the future emperor isn’t permitted to marry a commoner, so their fairy-tale ending was never meant to be. Nonetheless, unwilling to give up on Marianne, Dirk asks her to run away with him. Dirk abandons his status to marry Marianne, and they settle down together in a rural village.
