I’m a full-time programmer, with a side of “artist”. So that’s why I did this project. But please keep your expectations friendly. This isn’t a polished AAA experience and won’t blow anyone’s mind. It’s a small, simple project I made, mostly to prove myself I’m more than a cog in a big machine. If it helps you focus a little better, or just makes your desktop a bit nicer to sit at, then I would call this a success.
Get stuff done
The main part is a set of simple focus tools:
- Timers you can customize for focused work sessions
- To-do lists to help you stay on track
- A daily journal to write down how your day went, and look back later
- Built-in music with a few styles to switch between
- Ambient and ASMR sounds you can mix together however you like
That’s the part meant to actually help you in real life.
Grow a tiny tribe
- While you work, a small idle game runs in the background. You start with a tiny tribe and a few basic stats, and slowly unlock new skills as those stats grow. You pick one skill to work on at a time, and random events pop up now and then to mix things up.
- It’s an idle game, so it never asks for your attention. No clicking around, no pressure. You just check in once in a while, and tell them where to put their attention.
A few extras
- A simple “lights-out” mode for when you just want quiet. Pressing “esc” or clicking the animation will quickly trigger it.
- Full translations in English, French, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian
- I was careful not to use too much of your device’s resources. For example, the frame rate is capped at 15 FPS.
- An option to keep windows always on top of your screen.
