Chapter 1 – Update 5a

Content :

• Training Ground building (raises the card level cap: base Lv5 → Lv10 with the Training Ground → Lv15 upgraded), with its own tile art and build icon
• Citizen Satisfaction system, with events for Rebellious / Unhappy / Displeased / Pleased / Happy / Jubilant tiers
• Lust Habituation mechanic : Your people grow used to lust over time, making the brothel a tool for keeping them satisfied while having to balance the Lust amount
• Quest system, separate from the main chapter deadline
• 3 quests added : Laying Foundations (day 2), Doors to the World (day 35), Sharpen the Blade (day 50)
• New game tutorial, highlighting the UI and explaining the main shortcuts (skippable)
• The game switched from a bland board like 2D view to a more visually pleasing Isometric 2D View
• Lumi now has her own deck, separate from Seralyne’s, and editable in the Cards panel, whichever unit walks into the fight brings her own deck. Challenges coming from events still use Seralyne’s
• 4 New background music added
• Gathering Post added, helps a ton for the early by collecting clutter on the ground

Bugfix :

• Upgrade building button appearance didn’t save.
• Embrace’s icon never appeared above the card.
• Damage numbers showed the attacker’s raw damage instead of the reduced amount when the target had Embrace up.
• The XP bar in the card menu could be dragged around like a slider.
• Rosalind 2nd fight triggered only when you lost her first fight, not anymore.
• Animations didn’t start truely randomly creating a odd effect when aligning many houses or trees
• Brothel Scene for Seralyne number 3 could not be obtained

Tweaks :

• Card XP now stops accumulating once a card hits the level cap instead of wasting it, and resumes automatically once the cap is raised
• Card level cap displayed on card details (“Level X / Cap”) with a MAX indicator once reached
• Embrace now lasts the current turn and the next one
• City upgrade nodes with long names no longer stretch their panel, the text scales down instead
• When a unit is downed during a war, ending said war will bring back all downed unit without using gold
• A card belongs to one champion at a time, adding her to Lumi’s deck takes her out of Seralyne’s
• Trades are now instantaneous instead of waiting for caravans to arrive at the trading post which was a bit confusing
• Removed halved movement when inside enemy territory
• Roads are now much cheaper 10 -> 4 Stones
• Moving speed outside of territory has been increased to default speed
• Stone mines can be placed anywhere on the ground
• Logging Camp, Mines, Church, Watch Tower, Market had their area of effect increased & values tweaked

Misc :

• Citizen Satisfaction HUD widget, with a hover breakdown of everything affecting it that turn
• Deadline UI redesign to match Quest UI design
• New stacked Quest bar UI (up to 3 active at once) alongside the chapter deadline bar, tucked at the bottom right and rising when hovered
• Notification when receiving a new quest
• The battle screen now shows the portrait and name of the Unit actually fighting
• Various UI Animations added
• The Satisfaction marker eases into its new position instead of sliding at a flat speed
• Added a button to rotate and cancel a building mainly aimed at mobile players
