YellowArachnid Games released a new game called Applicant and the version is 0.36. The game’s story is about You arrive to rule the country of your dreams, begin perestroika by getting an education, but everything goes a little off-plan, and you begin to look for a balance between preparing for exams, earning money and… going wild.
- Added or updated images for 23 Bars, 16 Cafes, and 38 Community Centers. A total of 77 images.
- Major bug fixes, quality of life improvements, etc., and balance changes.
- Fixed debt accrual for LoanShark.
- The clothing “favoritization” system has been changed. Players can now select PRIORITY clothing for each job in the wardrobe menu. Everything is yours to choose. An automatic change-to-equip system has been implemented for selecting the selected outfit before starting a job. Then, it switches back to the one you were WEARING. Similarly, changing back to the outfit you were wearing is now implemented in all events. Favorite Clothing – bug fixes.
- Corrected text and visual frames, text boxes, and minor typo and other errors. Some text colors were a bit off-color – no big deal. Elizabeth was especially affected – she’s now a single character in her own name.
- Sex Shop bugs have been fixed, including massage training and the massage itself. The multiplier for Glory Hall has been reduced from 2.5 to 1.8 for balance reasons, and now only takes into account PURE promiscuity.
- Confusion between General and Net Stats has been cleared up. Net stats are calculated almost everywhere, but for some checks, the General stat is important. This is my attempt to reflect the “inner self” and the “outer self.” Sometimes, putting on clothes works, but sometimes the heroine can’t even think of the action herself.
- Collection bonuses have been reduced. The thresholds for Fitness for additional AP during sleep have been raised by +5.
- The Cleaning system has been significantly changed. It now follows a general principle, but is divided into three sublocations. Showers, Hostel, and Rada-Leonard’s Apartment. What’s the gist? You have a dirt bar that decreases every day. Cleaning is based on your cleaning skill… Cleaning gives you 1 point for working in the hostel. Filling the bar gives you another point. Helping guests increases your cleaning efficiency… you’ll figure it out later. Leonard’s situation is simpler for now—there’s a direct correlation with money.
- Updated all events in the Gallery. Fixed the terrible appearance of old endings, edited their text boxes, etc. Added warnings about near endings in the game itself; I’ll be adding them back soon.
- Speaking of endings, the Fortune Teller update… for $3,000 you can buy a LOT of Gallery points at once—about 20 or 30. If you don’t have the Gallery open, he’ll open it for you, but without the extra points.
- Added a Beauty Salon, no pictures yet. Treatments have a beauty boost and a duration. The boost degrades over time. Each treatment is a separate slot, so stacking won’t work (I hope). There will be tighter integration with Leonard in the future.
- Fixed bugs with Larry and the quest lines. Everything seems to be working fine now, no duplicate shifts or overlaps.
- Nerved Rada’s coffee. It now gives 1 less AP and depends on your relationship with Rada: at first it costs the same as regular coffee, then half price, then free.
- Expanded the jobs in the Cafe, Bar, and Library – added “lost” events I’d lost last time back to the decks, plus old versions of the jobs, just to make sure they were there. Checked the formulas and fixed some bugs.
- I forgot the rest… Seriously, there were a ton of minor and medium-sized changes. I’ve highlighted the main ones that I remember.
There is not much content at the moment. I would be very grateful for feedback in any format! I would be especially grateful for consultations/advice on the technical and design part – I am just mastering this area.
And I have to warn you in advance – English is far from my native language. I can read it tolerably well, but writing… I have to use translators, so do not be afraid to correct me – especially when it comes to idioms and catchphrases… In general, I will try to find a translator as soon as possible if you like what I do.
Thank you.
